2022 has been a whirlwind year for country music artist David Adam Byrnes. A consistent flow of song releases along with a tour schedule that has nearly doubled has kept the young artist in an uninterrupted state of “ready, set, go.” In preparation for his new album release, DAB started releasing songs off the album nearly every month in an effort to bring his fans along in his evolution through a steady unfolding of his life’s story song-by-song. When he left Nashville and moved to Texas, Byrnes spent years fighting his way back to himself as an artist by rewiring his brain to write the songs he lived and felt instead of the formulaic scramble to pen the next “big thing.” Ironically, every single he has released have all hit #1 on the Texas Regional Radio Chart making DAB the only artist to ever accomplish such a feat in the chart’s 18-year history. This week Byrnes celebrates his seventh straight #1 hit single “One Honky Tonk Town.”
“I had to get back to me,” Byrnes explains. “I had to get back to why I love country music. I’m so much happier doing the music I truly love, and when you find yourself in music, people seem to take notice.”
A lot of attention is being paid to Byrnes, with 10 million total streams, over 100,000 social media followers, and a double win at the 2022 Arkansas Country Music Awards as Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year.
On September 30th DAB and Reviver Entertainment Group will release his new album “Keep Up With A Cowgirl” that he co-produced with Bart Busch. The album features some of his #1 hit singles and a few never before heard songs, a couple of which those very dear to his heart. “I Find A Reason” is his favorite, a song he held expressly for this album and the most streamed song on Spotify. “Like I’m Elvis” is a direct connection to his heart having always dreamed he would find that person who would love him unconditionally, which he found in his fiancé Amanda whom he will wed in 2023. The song was also recorded by Air Supply frontman Russell Hitchcock on his 2011 album “Tennessee: The Nashville Sessions.” The title-track has brought Durango Boots into the mix who is partnering with Byrnes on the music video that will feature real life video of their Team Durango professional female athletes including Stevi Hillman (barrel racer), Jordon Briggs (barrel racer), Lisa Lockhart (barrel racer) and Kelsie Domer (breakaway roper). Durango vigorously supports women in western sports and aims to advocate and celebrate the important role that women play in the Western Industry. The music video will be shot in Nashville in August. Add in the four acoustic tracks for ambiance sake and the one throwback cover that Byrnes puts on every album, “Keep Up With A Cowgirl” is sixteen tracks long of pure country music delight.
