Click On’ and Hang On’ with the Cowboy Lifestyle Network (CLN) during the 2014 National Little Britches Rodeo Association (NLBRA) championship rodeo.
In addition to goat tying and bull riding, during the NLBRA finals, the CLN team captured youth cowgirls making flying discounts and wrapping up three legs in a hurry.
CLN, the Ak-Chin Indian Community, and Earnhardt Auto Centers spotlighted the thrills and spills from the NLBRA. The entertainment included cowboys riding for eight seconds on a ton of fun as bulls kicked and contestants looked to make qualified rides.
According to the NLBRA, in 1952, the first annual rodeo for kids was held and titled the Little Britches Rodeo. It was held in Littleton, Colo., and was a huge success. It continued as a single event until 1961, when a convention was held in Denver with representatives from many different states. Today’s NLBRA is the main host of junior rodeo in the US. Each year, nearly 3,000 kids between ages 5 and 18 compete in 21 states in more than 275 Little Britches rodeos.
The American barrel racing qualifiers, Lindsay Sears, Sabrina Ketcham, PJ Burger, C.J. Vondette were once NLBRA contestants before turning professional. Furthermore, all the contestants put on an unbelievable show, such as, Ryan Gray, JJ Elshere and Mckennon Wimberly.
Watch the bulls being loaded, cowboys spinning, tiger chaps flying and rodeo bullfighters saving young lives at the NLBRA.  Earlier this year the Pro Rough Stock Series (PRS) partnered up with NLBRA. Kelly Timberman, Executive Director of PRS Production states,
“The partnership between the National Little Britches Rodeo Association and the PRS further expands our mission to grow the sport of rough stock and endears ourselves to the next generation of not only fans but future contestants,” said Kelly Timberman, Executive Director of Production for the PRS. “We look forward to a long partnership with National Little Britches Rodeo Association, not only in Loveland but beyond.”
