[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In celebration of the Old West, the Pendleton Rodeo takes place in the Pendleton Round-Up Stadium from September 13 through September 16.
Pendleton Round-Up History
On the 4th of July in 1909, the first Pendleton rodeo took place and featured competing cowboys, Native American and military presentations. The success of the event influenced the yearly continuation of the festival. However, it was decided to move the date to September in order to give farmers ample time to complete harvest and ranchers the chance to organize livestock.
