In Penning, three mounted riders enter an arena with 30 cattle numbered 0-9. As the first rider crosses the timer line the announcer will tell the team which number of cattle are to be cut out and moved to the other pen. in Penning Each rider must get one of three of the cattle with the specified number into the pen on the opposite side of the arena.
