From Expo to Encore: Why the Rain Can’t Stop the Spirit of the Inaugural Field & Stage Music Fest
Country MusicWe all know the feeling. You’ve got the calendar circled. Your boots are cleaned and conditioned, your favorite hat is shaped just right, and your heart is set on the unforgettable magic of live country music.
But lately, Mother Nature has had other plans for the South.
Alabama has been caught in a relentless rhythm of heavy rains and unforgiving storms. Week after week, we’ve watched communities suffer the heartbreak of cancellations. Festivals washed out. Covered arenas turned away. Traditions paused by the mud. It’s a frustrating feeling for those of us who live for the outdoors, the lifestyle, and the songs that bind us together.
But the spirit of the country music and outdoor community doesn’t wash away that easily. And this July, you can officially leave your rain gear at home.

Over Four Decades of Heritage: Listening to the Fans
For 43 incredible years, the World Deer Expo has stood as the ultimate sportsman’s paradise, growing over more than four decades into the country’s largest three-day hunting consumer show. Generation after generation of outdoor enthusiasts have walked those aisles, bonding over a shared love for the wild, the chase, and the land.
But as the legacy grew, so did the vision. For years, dedicated attendees and passionate hunters have voiced a desire for something more, asking the organizers to bring high-caliber nighttime entertainment to the expo weekend.

“For years, fans have asked us to bring nighttime concerts to World Deer Expo weekend,” said Bob Coker, Founder of the World Deer Expo. “We listened.”
Driven by a desire to give outdoor enthusiasts the ultimate summer destination, expo organizers partnered with producer Monica Fitzgibbons to design an entirely new frontier for the community. The result? A stunning, first-of-its-kind extension where the excitement of the daylight exhibition seamlessly flows into the thunderous energy of live music each night.

A Sanctuary for the Soul: No Mud, No Rain, Just Pure Country
From July 17–19, 2026, the soul of the outdoor world and the fire of live music are colliding in Birmingham, and not a single drop of rain can touch it. Welcome to the inaugural Field & Stage Music Fest, taking place inside the legendary, fully indoor Legacy Arena at the BJCC.
When the sun goes down and the expo floor clears, the lights of the Legacy Arena will roar to life. Inside this climate-controlled sanctuary, the only thunder you’ll hear is the roar of the crowd, and the only pouring will be the cold drinks and the heartfelt lyrics of country music royalty.

A Lineup Built on Tradition and Passion
Field & Stage Music Fest isn’t just a concert series; it’s a milestone event honoring veterans, patriotism, and the deep-rooted traditions of the American outdoor lifestyle. The inaugural lineup is a breathtaking journey through the sounds that define us:
- The Oak Ridge Boys (Friday, July 17): Feel the goosebumps as 50 years of tradition and 17 number-one hits echo through the arena. Their legendary four-part harmonies are the very definition of American heritage.
- Jake Owen (Saturday, July 18): Bring your summer state of mind indoors. With 10 number-one hits like “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and “Beachin’,” Jake Owen brings a gold and platinum-selling energy that will have the entire arena on its feet.
- Eli Young Band (Sunday, July 19): Close out the weekend with the raw, Texas-rock edge of a band that has spent 25 years pioneering modern country anthems.
- Plus More Incredible Artists: Hitmakers like Hailey Whitters, Darryl Worley, and more special guests are stepping up to the stage to make this an unmissable weekend.
