Redding Rodeo 2026 Recap: Packed Stands & Big Support!

There’s something special about rodeo towns, places where neighbors feel like family, and the community shows up for one another in a big way. If there’s one event that proves just how strong that spirit is, it’s the Redding Rodeo. In 2026, the excitement was bigger than ever, and the numbers didn’t lie, with three out of four rodeo performances officially selling out and the Wednesday evening performance seeing record-breaking attendance! That kind of turnout doesn’t happen by accident; it happens because Redding believes in its rodeo, supports its athletes, and rallies behind the people who make it all possible.

“For the Redding Rodeo Association, this sends a clear message, we need to continue growing the Redding Rodeo and improving our facilities so even more people can experience and enjoy the sport of rodeo in Northern California.”

Rodeo Powered by Community

The Redding Rodeo has always been a shining example of what happens when a community and its sponsors work hand‑in‑hand. From local businesses to national partners, the support behind this event is nothing short of extraordinary. These sponsors don’t just put their names on banners; they help the cowboy way thrive in Northern California by honoring Redding’s rich ranching history. Their commitment ensures that fans get world‑class entertainment, competitors get top‑notch conditions, and families get a weekend they’ll remember for a lifetime.

Whether it’s the companies that keep the arena lights bright, the brands that support the livestock, or the local partners who fuel the festivities, every sponsor plays a role in making the Redding Rodeo the powerhouse it is today. Their dedication is a big reason those grandstands have filled up for 78 years!

Who Rocked the Arena in Redding?

A standout storyline from this year’s Redding Rodeo was the sheer level of talent in the arena. The Wright brothers made a special appearance on Thursday night, and Stetson Wright proved why he is one of the best by winning both Saddle Bronc Riding and Bull Riding, and securing the title of All‑Around Champion of the 2026 Redding Rodeo.

Redding Rodeo Hall of Fame

The Redding Rodeo has long been rooted in a rich cowboy tradition, and one of the most meaningful ways that legacy is preserved is through the Redding Rodeo Hall of Fame. In 2026, the Redding Rodeo Association was proud to honor the 2026 inductees, Bill Adams, Gene Gardner, Lee Ellison, and Pete Peters, each of whom has played a vital role in shaping the history, culture, and spirit of rodeo in Redding. Their dedication reflects the generations of cowboys, volunteers, and community members who built this event into a cornerstone of Redding’s community. As the Redding Rodeo Association celebrates its contributions, they are also excited to share that planning is underway for a Redding Rodeo Hall of Fame Gala fundraiser this fall, an evening that will pay tribute to the past while helping support the future of this iconic rodeo tradition.

Redding Rodeo Cantina Parties

The Cantina parties on Friday and Saturday night brought their usual spark to rodeo week, giving fans a place to dance, catch up with friends, and kick off the evening. With DJ Fast Guns Fontana spinnin’ the best tracks, cold drinks, and a crowd ready to have a good time, the Cantina set the tone for unforgettable nights of rodeo fun and community energy.

“We want to again thank all of our fans, volunteers, sponsors, contestants, and supporters for helping make this one of the most successful Redding Rodeos we have ever had. We are already looking ahead to the 79th Annual Redding Rodeo, which will take place May 12–15, 2027. Fans should watch for tickets to go on sale in late Fall 2026, and based on this year’s demand, we encourage everyone to buy early because we fully expect another sellout year.”
