Tighten up your spurs rodeo fans, it’s going to be a wild ride! Rodeo Naked in conjunction with Rodeo Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram returns to Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre in Queen Creek, Arizona for the 3rd Annual Rodeo Naked Benefit Rodeo, kicking off Friday, September 20th. This two-day rodeo event is one rodeo you do not want to miss!
The Rodeo
The two-day rodeo kicks off Friday, September 20th at the Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre in Queen Creek, Arizona. Come early for slack performances starting at 8 am. The Kids Rodeo includes Mutton Bustin’, Steer Riding, and Junior Barrel Racing beginning at 5 pm both nights, gate open at 4 pm. Following the Kids Rodeo is the Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo featuring Team Roping, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, Tie-Down Roping, Breakaway, Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc, and Bare Back. Fun for the whole family with bounce houses, a petting zoo, food vendors, and beer gardens.
Raising Awareness
Friday will be honoring Lyme Disease and Saturday honoring the Wildland Firefighter Foundation. All proceeds from a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction benefit Lyme Disease Awareness and the Wildland Firefighter Foundation.
Lyme disease is a bacterial infection caused by the bite of an infected tick. If untreated, the infection can spread to the joints, the heart, and the nervous system. Other symptoms include severe headaches and neck aches, heart palpitations, facial palsy, and arthritis with severe joint pain.
A non-profit organization, The Wildland Firefighter Foundation aids those injured in the line of duty and the families of fallen firefighters. Wildland firefighters include the federal, state and local firefighters, private sector firefighters, interface firefighters, and volunteers from rural communities and towns across the United States.
TJ Spoonhunter, the founder of Rodeo Naked, a Bareback and Bull rider, founded the clothing line Rodeo Naked in 2015 to help the up-and-coming cowboys and cowgirls make their rodeo dreams a reality. With every purchase from Rodeo Naked’s apparel line, a portion of each sale is donated to help fund competition expenses for cowboys and cowgirls sponsored by Rodeo Naked.
The After Party
On Friday, September 20th, make sure to head over to Norton’s Corner for the 21+ afterparty celebration. And on Saturday, September 21st, stick around the rodeo ground for a live performance from Harry Luge.
