Wildland Firefighter Foundation: Spreading Compassion Like Wildfire

Wildland Firefighter Foundation-Spreading Compassion Like Wildfire-FI
Lone Mountain Fire

“Wildland Firefighter Foundation’s main focus is to help families of firefighters killed in the line of duty and to assist injured firefighters and their families.”

Coors Banquet has been teaming up with the Wildland Firefighter Foundation for the last several years to help raise money for the families of the fallen to support the cause. The Foundation came together as a group of volunteers in 1994, shortly after the Storm King tragedy. With dedication and lots of volunteer work, plans were developed for a national monument to honor firefighters, a dream that was realized in May 2000. The Wildland Firefighter Foundation was officially formed in the spring of 1999.

In honor of this year’s campaign, Coors Banquet partnered with Uproxx to pay tribute to wildland firefighters with a five-part docuseries airing this month called “Warriors of the West.” If y’all haven’t checked it out, you need to! Wildland Firefighter Foundation is having a special viewing on August 7th at Stargazers Theatre, 10 S Parkside Dr., in Colorado Springs, CO. The night comes with complimentary appetizers, viewing, Q&A and of course, plenty of Coors Banquet. If would like more information you can check out their Facebook page.

The Mission

Behind every cause is a mission and a reason why. It should be no surprise that the driving factor in this initiative is to take care of families of those who gave their lives protecting others. Since 1999, the Wildland Firefighter Foundation been providing services to those who need help after losing a loved one and taking care of those that are left behind. They do everything in their power to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and continue to educate the public on what goes on behind the fireline.

From all of us here at Cowboy Lifestyle Network and on behalf of Miller Coors, we truly hope that you will support the cause, whether is that by donating to the Foundation to help with families, or even just by sharing the story and sharing the cause. If you have family or friends that are involved with a fire department of any kind, you know the risk involved.  Help us share the message! And remember a portion of every case of Coors Banquet goes to the cause, so do your part and drink a cold, Coors Banquet Original for all the men on the front of the fire line.
