Mixed martial arts take the stage at the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle on April 29. A one-of-a-kind event, live cage fighting, comes to the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle on Saturday, April 29.
Come check out this exciting event for all ages, to be held outside in the amphitheater. Seating will be available starting at 5:30 p.m., when the preliminary events begin, and the main card starts at 7 p.m.
The event is presented by RUF Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Ringside Promotions, LLC. RUF MMA is a preferred Native Casino MMA event fighting brand. Cage fighting, or mixed martial arts (MMA), is a full-contact sport in which two contestants compete using various fighting techniques. The players meet in an octagonal ring, which looks just like a cage. To win, one player needs to physically overpower the other – which is easier said than done. The matches pit 24 contestants in different weight classes for a total of 12 fights. The big draw is the heavyweight match at the end, with local favorite fighter Dale Sopi from Maricopa.
General admission tickets are $25 and can be purchased online. Bring your low-back chairs or blankets. Cage-side seating is $40 and may be purchased by contacting the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle box office at 520-568-3456. VIP tables are available for $200 or $400 for four to six people, complete with your own server.
Event coordinator Ringside Promotions, LLC approached the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle management with the opportunity to bring this event to their property. This will be the first event of its kind at the center, notes David Trujillo, Promotions and Events Manager at UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle.
