Saddle Up for the Calgary Stampede and Win A FREE YETI Cooler

The legendary Calgary Stampede is back for 2022 and “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth,” is set to make it one of the best years yet. Taking place July 8th-17th, 2022, Cowboy Lifestyle Network is proud to partner with YETI as they prepare to take on the Calgary Stampede.

About the Calgary Stampede

The Calgary Stampede is positioned around a beautiful landscape in which is located in the midst of 30 acres of beautiful riverfront property in the heart of Calgary. Furthermore, the culturally diverse groups of people that visit this region make the Calgary Stampede a monumental gathering of cowboys, cowgirls, locals, and all kinds of tourists visiting from various countries around the globe.

There’s just something about the Calgary Stampede that sets itself apart from any other rodeo in the world. After all, the Stampede dates back to the late 19th Century when agricultural fairs and festivals began to take place each year.

Calgary held its very first rodeo in the year of 1912, which was created and founded by an American cowboy entrepreneur named Guy Weadick who worked extremely hard to “promote the Wild West and cowboy lifestyle in Calgary”, according to Calgary Stampede’s Historical Committee. His hard work as a cowboy in the rugged lifestyle showed exactly where his heart, mind, and soul were throughout his life of the event and we still see that dedication alive today.

Which YETI Ambassadors Will be in Calgary?

Great question! Of course, in the world of rodeo, anything can happen but here is who we have the inside scoop on as of right now. As far as contestants go, you can expect to see the one and only Shad “Money” Mayfield, who is currently sitting number two in the World Standings, and steer wrestler, Tyler Pearson, who is the 2017 Steer Wrestling World Champion and 5x NFR Qualifier. If you’re a Luke Branquinho fan, then get excited, because Luke is going to be an official commentator for the rodeo all week long!

Supplied & Approved by YETI

I didn’t realize this, but YETI has been partnering with the Calgary Stampede since 2016, so this will be their sixth year partnering with this legendary event. YETI will also be the Award Sponsor, which means that each day after the performance there will be a broadcast presentation of the awards on top of YETI coolers that will go to all of the winners of the rodeo that day!

YETI isn’t just a fan favorite at the Calgary Stampede, they are also well-loved by the competitors and the entire committee as they host the hospitality tent at the rodeo for the committee as well as contestants and their families. One of the things we love most about working with YETI is that they care about the community they serve. It isn’t just about providing its customers with amazing merchandise but also having an authentic connection with the western community they serve.
