The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) will start a new chapter this year with the 2022 PBR World Finals by moving bull riding’s most prestigious event to the spring instead of the fall and returning to Texas.
PBR World Finals History
The inaugural PBR World Finals was hosted in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. In 1999, the event was moved within Las Vegas to the Thomas & Mack Center, where it was held until 2015. The PBR moved the event to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in 2016. The 2020 PBR World Finals was held in Arlington at AT&T Stadium due to the pandemic. In 2021, T-Mobile Arena hosted the PBR World Finals again. The event has typically always wrapped up the season in November.
2022 PBR World Finals
The 2022 event brings about great change for bull riders and bull riding fans. With new PBR World Finals dates, the season now takes place from January through May. This year’s event will be held May 13-22. The first three rounds will be held May 13-15, and the final five rounds will take place May 19-22.
In addition to the PBR World Finals, there will be other various activities and entertainment in Fort Worth. Some of these events include the PBR Cowboy Experience, Flint Rasmussen’s Outside The Barrel, and live music from artists like Charley Crockett, Travis Tritt, Leann Rimes, and Robert Earl Keen.
