Three days of professional rodeo and rich tradition will take place May 11 – 13, 2023 at the 61st Annual Tops in Texas Rodeo in Jacksonville, Texas! The annual event brings lots of excitement with Pete Carr Pro Rodeo, John Harrison, Andy Stewart, and top-notch athletes providing non-stop entertainment.
The outdoor show kicks off summertime with activities for the entire family and brings in fans from across the state. Not only will fans find exceptional rodeo action, but the weekend is packed full of opportunities to eat, shop and enjoy the Western heritage together!
With a history of community involvement, the rodeo is sponsored by volunteers from the Jacksonville Riders Club and the Jacksonville Lions Club to raise money for local charitable endeavors.
Winners from the 2022 event included Chet Weitz (all-around), Bill Tutor (bareback), Termaine Debose (steer wrestling), Lightning Aguilera and Jayse Tettenhorst (team roping), Will Pollock (saddle bronc), Sy Felton (tie-down), Abby Phillips (barrel racing) and Dawson Gleaves and Tate Pollmeier (bull riding). And this year, the long-standing rodeo is adding breakaway to its lineup of events!
Thanks to local cowboy churches, admission to the event is free to the public Thursday, May 11! Tickets for the following two nights of rodeo are available online for $12 or at the gate for $15. Limited box seats are also available for $20/ticket with a minimum purchase of six seats per box.
