CLN: Can you tell our audience a little about yourself?

Tyler: I started roping when I was young. Then, I began watching some of my friends steer wrestle in high school and went to a steer wrestling school where I fell in love with the sport. From there I worked my butt off in high school and through college where I changed my major from Nurse Anesthetist to Business so I could pursue rodeo.

CLN: What did growing up look like for you?

Tyler: Growing up, My Dad team roped and trained horses. I helped my dad with some colts and learned how to team rope.

CLN: How do you get yourself “in the zone” when at a rodeo?

Tyler: I just play it over and over in my head what I want to achieve. I practice a lot in the off-season and so it’s mainly reaction at this point.

CLN: What do your rodeo goals look like heading into the final half of 2021 and into 2022?

Tyler: I just want to stay sharp and keep my horses working great to give myself a chance at another world championship.

CLN: What is the best advice you can give aspiring pro rodeo athletes?

Tyler: Work, Work, Work! When I was coming up someone once told me when I was laying on the couch, somebody else was out there working harder. So that fueled me to work harder than my competitor.

CLN: What has it meant to be a part of the YETI Ambassador team?

Tyler: It has been a privilege to be a part of such a prestigious brand. I know when I see the Yeti brand it represents class, toughness, and durability. Yeti has set itself apart from any other product and to wear the brand on my shirt means the world to me.

CLN: Do you have any closing thoughts on YETI or your experience that you’d like to share with our audience?

Tyler: To listen to people that are not even associated with Yeti talk about how good their products are and how everybody wants a Yeti product. It makes me feel like I am a part of something amazing and I am proud to wear the patch.
