A Utah Tradition
The Utah Days of ’47 Rodeo, presented by Zions Bank, takes place at the state-of-the-art Days of ’47 Arena at the Utah State Fairpark each July. The venue, an outdoor arena located in the heart of Salt Lake City, features over 10,000 stadium-style seats, but there is truly not a bad seat in the place. The rodeo, and other Days of ’47 events, commemorate the day – July 24, 1847 – when a determined company of Mormon pioneers realized their dreams upon entering the Great Salt Valley. Throughout the years, their mission has remained the same: to honor Utah’s pioneer heritage and educate Utah’s kids.

- 5:00 pm Gates open to Fairpark – Mechanical bull, petting zoo, pony rides, food trucks, vendors, exhibits – No admission ticket required
- 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm – Live music in Fun Zone
- 7:00 p.m. – Gates to Days of ‘47 Arena open
- 8:00 pm Opening Ceremonies – Performance – bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, breakaway roping, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding
- 10:30 pm Special Drone and Fireworks Show
- After rodeo – 11:30 pm Live music in Fun Zone

- These tickets are all located on the east side of the stadium. Includes partial roof covering. Will be in sun longer than west side seats

Soaking Up the Sun – $27
- Still great seats to not only see the action on the arena floor, but great views of the Salt Lake Valley. End Zone seats behind bucking chutes on North end and 4 sections overlooking timed event chutes at South end.

Utah Cowgirl Collective
The Utah Days of ’47 Rodeo recently selected their fourth class of cowgirl ambassadors as part of the Class of 2026 for the Utah Cowgirl Collective. Six young ladies were selected from a group of 23 applicants from across the State of Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming to commit to a yearlong worth of service to help the community, educate the youth on the western lifestyle, and promote connection, kinship, and cowgirl grit to all women. They will also serve as the official ambassadors and flag girls of the 2026 Utah Days of ’47 Rodeo.
“I am really proud of what this program has become, not only in Utah but within our western industry,” said Tommy Joe Lucia, Executive Director of the Utah Days of ’47 Rodeo. “Seeing these young ladies interact with the community to spread the western way of life and seeing the impact this program has on our young ladies is truly inspiring.”
