Hell on Wheels

The Hell on Wheels Rodeo is back for its 7th season, and the fun kicks off this month! With five rodeos in the series and one final championship round topping the season off, this Cheyenne favorite spans a total of three months, giving you plenty of time to throw on those boots, grab your tickets, and hit the stands!

Cheyenne Frontier Days

Known as the “Daddy of ’em All,” Cheyenne Frontier Days is a bucket‑list rodeo for any western enthusiast or curious first‑timer. The world’s largest rodeo, this ten‑day event includes arena thrills, parades, community events, and amazing concert performances.

Laramie County Fair

Nothing says summer quite like an evening at the fair with family and friends. The Laramie County Fair is heading back this July 29th–August 8th, bringing livestock competitions, plenty of exciting exhibits, demonstrations, a Kids Rodeo, and so much more!

Rockin’ Cheyenne

Fridays on the Plaza

Is there a better way to kick off the weekend after a long week of work than sitting back with a cold drink and listening to live music? We think not! Wyoming’s largest outdoor summer music festival is back, bringing free, live entertainment to downtown Cheyenne every Friday from June through August.

Celtic Festival

Grab your kilt and head on over to the Cheyenne Depot Plaza for the 2026 Celtic Festival! Bagpipes, Games, oh my! This event offers a variety of cultural activities and experiences that will transport you straight to the Highlands.

Superday

Lions Park turns into a hub of summer fun with activities for all ages at Cheyenne’s Superday! Browse arts and crafts, enjoy rides, listen to live music, and check out games, contests, exhibits, and a full carnival atmosphere, all for free! Competitive events include a 10K/5K run‑walk, a judo tournament, and a volleyball tournament.

Annual Sherman Hill Train Show

All aboard! Get ready for a full day of family‑friendly fun at the Annual Sherman Hill Train Show! Kids can hop aboard the riding train, while the Kid’s Korner provides plenty of hands‑on activities. Model train enthusiasts will enjoy the operating layouts on display, and vendors will be on site with a wide selection of model railroad items, collectibles, and food.

Wyoming Brewers Fest

Cool off with a cold one at the Wyoming Brewers Fest this June 19th and 20th! With over 75 brewers participating, this beer and music festival is much more than an excuse to kick back and relax, this event benefits the iconic Historic Union Pacific Depot in downtown Cheyenne. Each ticket supports the ongoing restoration of this landmark train station that sits at the heart of Cheyenne’s identity.

From her roots in barrel racing to her role as the 2017 Gilbert Days Rodeo Queen and her involvement with the Cowgirls Historical Foundation, Taryn celebrates her western heritage with enthusiasm and authenticity. Taryn holds a degree in Vocal Performance from Arizona State University, allowing her to merge her passion for music with her love of cowboy culture. As a singer and bassist, Taryn performs with bands across Phoenix and beyond including Great American Regret, Honey Marie Knight, and Sareena Dominguez. Taryn is passionate about blending her diverse interests to offer an authentic and engaging perspective on journalism.
