The 2019 Western States Horse Expo is returning to the Fairplex in Pomona, CA , November 8-10. This event brings together several different branches surrounding the equine industry. Regardless of your specialty, there is bound to be something for everyone. Some of the highlights include colt starting, education seminars, clinics, shopping and so much more. You can check the Western States Horse Expo Website for the full schedule.
With names like Richard Winters, Mustang Maddy, and Russ Krachun, you can be sure to catch one of the many exhibitions going throughout the day. And it isn’t just riding and horsemanship that they will be teaching, you can also expect presentations on diet, nutrition, and general equine safety.
An expo wouldn’t be complete without a tradeshow! With several vendors with the latest and greatest trends in tack, apparel, equine health, routine maintenance, housing, training, education, safety, equine activities and more, you’ll find everything you need and then some. A few of the featured exhibitors include RideTV, Team Equine, DP Saddlery, and 3 Barrels Up. You can see the full list of vendors here.
When you’re done shopping till you drop, you can catch the 2019 Colt Starting Challenge USA National Finals, going on all three days at the same venue. This event is not only to entertain but also to educate the audience on how a horse thinks, operates and responds to cues during the training process. It is the ultimate competition featuring 6 horses and 6 trainers that will compete on Sunday through an obstacle course created to test communication between horse and rider. The event will be happening Friday, 6-9pm, Saturday, 6-8pm and Sunday from 12pm-2pm.Β This event is included with your General Admission to the Expo.
This is considered a premier event for all equine enthusiasts, so if you are going to be anywhere around Pomona, CA, you should plan on attending. For more information on the event and admission, you can check out their full site here.
