Payson Continues to Bring the Action in Arizona
Take the World’s Oldest Continuous Rodeo in Payson, Arizona, for example. Located in the town of Payson, this intimate arena allows rodeo fans to be up close and person with all of the thrills, spills, and high-flying cowboy action.
Exhibiting at this year’s rodeo was No Bull Customs, the US Forest Service, Ak-Chin Indian Community, Protect Our West, Earnhardt Auto Centers and more of the area’s finest local businesses.
Parked right next to the arena was the Coors Light RV, offering VIP’s an incredible view of all the cowboys and cowgirls competing for buckles, money and other prizes.
Along with the tradition seven events of a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo (bareback riding, calf roping, saddle bronc riding, team roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing and bull riding), the Payson Pro Rodeo also has a few events for the kids.
Younger children got to try their luck on a wild and wooly sheep in the mutton bustin, while older children got to see a taste of what it feels like to be a bull rider in the steer wrestling.
