July 19-24th kicks off the 85th anniversary of Ogden Pioneer Days in Ogden, Utah. This celebration started in 1934 when Ogden City Mayor, Harman W. Peery, wanted to entice tourists to visit the city while boosting the local townspeople’s moral. Peery Organized a western festival, making it a national attraction. Wrangler Tough Enough to Wear Pink provides a nationally-recognized campaign and framework for rodeos and western events to help them promote breast cancer awareness and fundraising to benefit their local communities.
