The NJHFR and NHSRA National Jr. High Finals Rodeo will be held June 24 through June 30, 2018, in the SD State Fairgrounds in Huron in east-central South Dakota in the heart of the state’s Prairie and Glacial Lakes region along the beautiful James River and conveniently located at the intersection of US Hwy 14 and SD Hwy 37.
Approximately 1,000 of the best qualifiers from each state and province show off their talents in the event and compete for thousands of dollars in prizes and scholarships.
Rodeo events feature Junior Bull Riding, Bareback and Saddle Bronc Steer Riding, Goat Tying, Tie-Down and Team Roping, Barrel Racing, Breakaway and Ribbon Roping, Pole Bending, and more.
