Like always, the rodeo in Taylor, Arizona was awesome this year! Thanks to the incredible rodeo committee in Taylor, the Cowboy Lifestyle Network was fully welcomed to attend the rodeo once again to bring you footage up close and personal. CLN shot their video from the announcer stand this year which allowed for some great material.
Not only did 2015 mark the date for the 61st annual night rodeo in Taylor, but also the date for which our country celebrates our independence. The Taylor 4th of July celebration was held at the Taylor Rodeo Park which included the flag raising ceremony, the firing of the anvil, barbecue, vendors, rodeo, dance, patriotic program, fireworks, Taylor 10K & 2-mile run and softball tournament.
According to the team at the Cowboy Lifestyle Network, it seems to rain every year in Taylor during this time. It did indeed come pouring down this year but uniquely lasted for only 20 minutes. With 3 inches of rain to clear out of the arena, the staff on the CATS did an amazing job preparing the grounds for the night rodeo once again, within just one hour.
For those of you that are not familiar with Taylor, Arizona, the city’s population is just a little over 4,000 people. However, do not let that fool you. The rodeo attracted over 10,000 guests from surrounding cities such as Snowflake, Pinetop, Show Low, and Holbrook to name a few. Because of its popularity in past years, 650 extra bleacher seats were installed at the Taylor Rodeo Park for 2015.
The Wild West’s longest running night rodeo consisted of most of the usual events including Calf Roping, Barrel Racing, Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc, and Bull Riding, but every event was as exciting as the next! The Cowboy Lifestyle Network had yet another exhilarating time at the Taylor Rodeo and suggested that you should consider attending next year as well.
