Gear up With Wrangler for Cheyenne Frontier Days 2022!

It’s time to pull on your boots and gear up for the 125th Annual Cheyenne Frontier Days™, which is also known as, the “Daddy of ’em All”. Taking place July 22-31, 2022 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, this is a bucket list rodeo that you aren’t going to want to miss. Cheyenne Frontier Days have a way of bringing the western culture to life with everything from Professional Bull Riding, daily PRCA rodeos, and nightly concerts performed by top-charting artists.

Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo

Cheyenne Frontier Days™, the 10-day event consists of three categories for competitions; Rough-Stock Events (bareback, saddle bronc, and bull riding), Timed Events (Team and Tie-down Roping, Steer Wrestling, and Barrel Racing), and Racing on the Track (Wild Horse Races). In addition to the rodeo, you can also find the Dinner Bell Derby take place, which is when the mares and colts run each day from Saturday to Saturday during the rodeo. This is a favorite of the attendees of CFD, and a great event to get the youngsters involved in the Daddy of ’em All – Cheyenne Frontier Days™!

Professional Bull Riding

New this year, Cheyenne Frontier Days™ will be bringing a PBR Team Series event to the arena, taking place July 25-26 at 7:45 pm each night. This will be the inaugural season kick-off for the new series layout. This two-day event consists will build on the existing structure of professional bull riding with the same basic rules for judging and scoring qualified 8-second bull rides. The event will be a tournament-style format with all teams competing in head-to-head matchups against a different opponent each day. Each game will feature five riders per team squaring off against another team. The team with the highest aggregate score of qualified rides among its riders will be declared the winner of each game. The event winner will be the team with the most game wins across an event, with a special bonus round designed as a tie-breaker to determine the final event standings. Cheyenne Frontier Days Entertainment

Not only is Cheyenne Frontier Days™ known for its rodeo, but it is also known for its top-class entertainment. The Carnival Midway brings the whole family together for fun rides, delicious fair food, and entertaining games! Open daily from 10:30 AM to midnight. The Garden located just out-front of the midway is a shaded, comfortable area to hang out and listen to music. Be sure to head over to Buckin’ A Saloon where the fun continues into the night with live music, and dancing. The Buckin A Saloon is free with gate admission. Just outside the gates of Cheyenne Frontier Days™ you will hear and see the Indian Village, join in on the fun, and experience authentic Native American costumes, dancing, storytelling, flute players, and handicrafts taking place daily from 10 AM – 7:30 PM. After the Indian Village, continue to Old Frontier Town, where you can meet western merchants, craftspeople, artisans, and more. Be sure to book your tour of behind the chutes. Tours are at 9 am, 10 am, and 5 pm, go behind the scenes and see what goes on during the rodeo!
