National Senior Pro Rodeo Association (NSPRA)

For 76 years, Wickenburg’s Gold Rush Days has been a vibrant legacy in Arizona’s history, a living testament to our state’s wild and wonderful past. At the heart of that history beats the pulse of the rodeo, a celebration of the Western lifestyle that defines Wickenburg. The National Senior Pro Rodeo Association (NSPRA) returns to Wickenburg, bringing with them a storm of exhilarating rodeo action. NSPRA is for contestants 40 and older. There are 10 sanctioned events: Bareback, Bull Riding, Tie Down Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing, Ladies Breakaway Roping, Men’s Breakaway Roping, Ribbon Roping, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling, and Team Roping. Every event is a spectacle of athleticism and tradition. Gates open at noon, and the rodeo begins at 2:00 pm each day. The rodeo is rain or shine. Don’t just watch history – experience it. Join me and feel the rush of the West!

Heart of Gold Rush Days

From 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday, February 14th, Saturday, February 15th, and Sunday, February 16th the heart of Gold Rush Days (160 N. Valentine Street) will come alive. Wander through the marketplace showcasing the talents of 150 Wickenburg Art Club Artisan Fair arts and crafts vendors, where you’ll discover unique treasures and handcrafted masterpieces. Let the kids play in the family fun carnival, filled with laughter and thrilling rides. You’ll find live music, the soundtrack to a weekend of pure celebration. Try your hand at gold panning, and maybe you’ll strike it rich! You’re sure to find something special to take home at this event. When the sun goes down, the carnival lights will continue to twinkle, extending the fun into the evening. I love a good carnival at night, it always takes me back down memory lane when I was little growing up. Gold Rush Days Parade

Get ready for a spectacle of Western grandeur! The Gold Rush Days Parade is one of Arizona’s largest, it thunders through the streets on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at 10:00 am. Dozens of beautiful horses with their riders decked out in their finest Western wear, leading a procession of over 70 entries. Feel the rumble of classic automobiles, the stirring melodies of marching bands, and the infectious energy of youth groups, all coming together in a vibrant celebration of our heritage. This year’s theme, “Spur of the Moment,” promises a parade filled with surprises and spontaneous joy. Don’t miss this unforgettable display of community spirit – find your spot along the route and witness the magic unfold!
