Queen Creek, Arizona – Experience the exceptional Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre. This is a thirty-eight-acre facility that’s located in the Phoenix metropolitan area. It’s here to provide endless opportunities for events of both Western and English equestrian persuasion, as well as concerts, rodeos, and vendor fairs. This majestic facility is located at 20464 E. Riggs Road, Queen Creek, Arizona 85142.

Event Highlights

Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre is home to some great events throughout the year. They’re booked out 220-plus days of the year from a variety of things like Western events to non-traditional sports. They host approximately 90 different events including, Roots N Boots, Art of the Cowgirl, World Wide Ladies Equestrian Competition, Gilbert Days Rodeo, PBR Bull Riding, PRCA Xtreme Bulls, Vintage & Vino Trade Show, Monster Trucks, a variety of concerts, and American Leadship Academy’s graduation. Kid and community-friendly events that are the most booked events offer kid-specific events, for showing, family fun, mutton busting, and calf riding.

New Challenges

Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre is always up to a new challenge in hosting different events. The only limit they set is of course SAFETY first to the attendees, staff, and the Town of Queen Creek.

Growth

Having this facility brings in a lot of traffic and economic growth to the town of Queen Creek. In July 2023, Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre received an economic impact analysis showing $42 million dollars being brought into the town of Queen Creek from 2022 through 2023. That being said, they host two of the largest events, Roots N Boots and Art of the Cowgirl that bring in over 30,000 people per event. Nearly 800 people per day have booked business at the facility and approximately 150,000 people have attended Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre in the last year. This has become a staple in the Queen Creek community.

Community Arena

The Community Arena is available to the general public on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can access it seven days a week, 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. It’s located on the Southwest corner of the property – West of the West entrance off of Riggs Rd. After dark, lights are available located at the East entry gate of the round pen and Community Arena. You’re welcome to bring a bite to eat as picnic tables, drinking fountains, restrooms, and trash cans are located around the Community Arena.

*Poles, Jumps, Cattle, Barrels, etc. are not allowed in the Community Arena.

Park Features

Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre is simply a paradise that offers not just one arena but five arenas varying in size! There is a full-site PA, sound system, and two show offices. Seating is offered in each arena as well as permanent announcer stands located at each arena. There are movable announcer and judge stands as well. There are over twelve vendor spaces that offer electric and water connections located between arenas one and two. Of course, a concession stand is open for all events.

Arenas:

  • Arena 1 “Chapman Automotive Group Arena” (covered) – 150′ x 300′
  • Arena 3 “Arizona Cutting Horse Arena” (covered) – 130′ x 300′
  • Arenas 2 and 4 (outdoor) – 150′ x 300′
  • Arena 5 – no permanent fence – flexible sizing

*Large cattle pens to arena 1 and 3 –  185′ x 90′ – 6,700 sq. feet

*Wash racks accommodating sixteen horses

RV Details

It gets even better, there are 56 RV slots that include 20, 30, or 50 amps of electric and water hookups at each location. The Town Council of Queen Creek just approved this facility to add another 21 RV spaces to be completed by September 2024 giving Horseshoe Park & Equestrian Centre a total of 77 RV spaces. This service is available year-round. Additionally, on August 2, 2023, the Town Council approved the installation of two RV dumping stations that will be available for community use. This project is set to be completed this Fall 2023.

Livestock Stalls & Parking

There’s plenty of room for livestock with 320-stall barn space, an additional 100 stalls in the planning stages, and there is room for 200 temporary stalls. Space is not an issue as there is plentiful space for trailer parking and spectator parking.
