The urban country singer-songwriter Lauren Davidson isn’t a stranger to the country music industry. With releases, “Live In The Light,” “Backfire,” and “Thinking About You,” Davidson has made a statement in 2021. This Friday, Lauren’s releasing her fourth single off her upcoming EP “Hindsight is 2020,” which features songs all written during the pandemic. The new single is titled “Silver Linings,” and is available for pre-sale now.
Bringing her killer vocals and sassy personality to the stage, Davidson speaks her truth on her latest single “Thinking About You” single. According to the songstress, the song was inspired by a real-life breakup. Allowing her powerful boss babe vibes to come out, the singer confidently decides that she is done wasting her time thinking about any ex.
“Baby, You know you drive me crazy // But I won’t let that phase me // Cause it’s a waste of time // Maybe, I was just too blind to see, you were playing hide and seek // Well love’s a gamble and I rolled the dice // Guess what I’m finally through // Thinking about you”
Blending New York City vibes with the rich tones of contemporary country music, she has created a genre all her own, and audiences and critics just can’t get enough. Lauren’s been one of the first country artists to perform at Lady Gaga‘s father’s restaurant in New York – Joanne Trattoria.
Never one to forget her roots, Davidson has created “Urban Country Jam” (UCJ). UCJ presents country music mini-festivals, set in major Cities, that join together emerging country artists with fans and industry professionals, providing artists with an important platform to garner the exposure they deserve.
In the past year, Lauren’s been featured on several editorials including Apple’s Best New Songs, Spotify’s New Music Nashville, and Apple’s New In Country playlist editorial. She has made countless radio appearances, played shows with Old Dominion, Carly Pearce, Russell Dickerson, Maddie & Tae, Michael Ray, and performed at the creme of New York venues, Madison Square Garden, as part of PBR’s “Unleash The Beast” tour.
