A must-see stop on the Cowboy Christmas run, the Livingston Roundup will pay out more than $200,000 and bring some of the biggest names in the sport of rodeo to the Park County Fairgrounds in Livingston, Montana. With two days of slack prior, the event will kick off July 2 and run through July 4.
History
In 1926, a group of businessmen local to Livingston saw a need for an event that would keep travelers in their town a little longer and started the Livingston Roundup. This rodeo became an attraction that stuck around until World War II began; and after coming to a halt during the war, one young man approached a local businessman in the late 1940s with the idea to revive the popular event.
A few years later in 1952, the event became a professional rodeo under the Rodeo Cowboys Association (RCA), which eventually became what we know as the PRCA more than two decades after the first Livingston Roundup pro rodeo. Throughout history, legends have competed and won in Livingston in July; and some of the best contract professionals are brought in year after year to produce an exceptional show.

99th Livingston Roundup
This rodeo features all of the usual rodeo events but does so with passion and heart that can be felt on the fairgrounds all three nights. A century-long tradition, the event draws in over 10,000 visitors to its area, even with the Livingston population only totaling 8,200 residents. This stand-out rodeo is a fun Fourth of July event, and below is the complete schedule.

This year’s National Anthem singers are Dolly Nickerson, Molly Gilbert and Clayton Oberquell. Livingston Roundup rodeo queens will be crowned during the performance on Tuesday, July 4.
Ticket Information
Tickets for the event are currently sold out on the rodeo’s website. However, you may still be able to purchase tickets at Yellowstone Sporting Goods, the Livingston Chamber of Commerce, and Murdoch’s (Livingston, Bozeman, and 4Corners). If you can’t make it to the event in person, the Livingston Roundup will be streamed on the Cowboy Channel + app.
