From the NFR Arena to the Stage: Sydni Blanchard Brings Her Fearless Spirit to Stetson Country Christmas at Rio Round-Up

The Western lifestyle is built on people who are willing to chase big dreams, take chances, and keep moving forward when the road gets difficult. Few people understand that journey better than Sydni Blanchard. A professional barrel racer, Rookie of the Year, Calgary Stampede champion, and three-time NFR qualifier, Blanchard has spent years building a life around horses, competition, and the Western community, performing at the highest levels of the sport. Today, her career has expanded well beyond the arena as she continues to make her mark as an entrepreneur, media personality, host, coach, and storyteller.

This December, Blanchard is bringing those experiences together as a host of Stetson Country Christmas, one of the premier Western shopping and entertainment experiences held during the holiday season in Las Vegas. Located at Rio Las Vegas, Stetson Country Christmas is part of the larger Rio Round-Up, a destination designed to bring Western fans together for Western apparel, home decor, gifts, shopping, live entertainment, music, and plenty of Western spirit. For Blanchard, stepping into the spotlight as a host is another chapter in a career that has continued to evolve without ever losing sight of where it began.

From the Barrel Pattern to a Bigger Mission

Long before she stood in front of a camera or hosted major industry events, Blanchard built her work ethic from the back of a horse. Barrel racing demands an exceptional mix of speed, timing, precision, and mental fortitude. Over her competitive career, Blanchard has proven her mettle on the biggest stages in the sport, earning PRCA Rookie of the Year honors, a Calgary Stampede championship, collegiate titles, and three qualifications to the National Finals Rodeo.

As her career has evolved, Blanchard hasn’t confined her talents to the alleyway alone. Recognizing that the discipline, communication skills, and focus developed inside the arena could serve as the foundation for a much broader mission, she expanded into horse training, rider instruction, and business. Her ability to balance active competition with coaching and media serves as a modern blueprint for Western athletes building lasting platforms.

Ride Fearless: A Philosophy That Became a Brand

At the center of Blanchard’s work today is Ride Fearless, the company she created to help others pursue their goals and become more confident in their own abilities. The name itself captures much of what Blanchard has learned throughout her career. Whether someone is stepping into a competition arena, starting a business, pursuing a creative dream, or simply trying to become a better version of themselves, fear can become one of the biggest obstacles standing in the way.

Ride Fearless is a brand, coaching program, and instruction movement founded on a simple premise: fear is often the single biggest barrier between where someone is and where they want to be. Created to help athletes and dreamers build confidence and overcome the obstacles holding them back. Whether an athlete is preparing for a run, an equestrian is working through a riding clinic, or an entrepreneur is launching a business, the principles of resilience remain the same.

Blanchard’s messaging resonates because it comes from personal experience. She understands firsthand that success in horse riding and life is rarely a straight line or defined by a single perfect run. It is forged through early mornings, long travel days, setbacks, and the grit to get back in the saddle. Through riding instruction, coaching programs, and digital content, Ride Fearless translates those hard-earned lessons into actionable encouragement for riders, athletes, and dreamers alike.

The same athleticism, discipline, and mental toughness that carried Blanchard to the National Finals Rodeo now form the foundation of her business ventures. Rather than stepping away from the industry after her competitive career evolved, she channeled her firsthand knowledge of the Western world into new opportunities to inspire others. She takes the lessons of the Western lifestyle and turns them into an encouraging message for athletes and everyday dreamers alike. Through coaching, educational opportunities, interviews, competitions, and digital content, Blanchard has built a platform where people can learn from experienced professionals and find encouragement to keep pushing forward.

The Importance of Western Storytelling

As the Western industry continues to expand across digital platforms, storytelling has become an important way to connect fans with the people behind the sport and lifestyle. Blanchard has embraced that opportunity through her media work, including her SB Ride Fearless YouTube channel and various hosting roles, offering audiences a candid look at the work, relationships, and sacrifices behind the sport.

One of the most exciting parts of Blanchard’s career today is her ability to tell stories from within the industry. Western culture has always been driven by storytelling, from tales shared around a campfire to conversations in the barn, behind the chutes and across the arena grounds. Modern technology has simply given those stories a much larger audience.

Her media presence lets her showcase a side of the Western industry that audiences don’t always get to see. Behind every athlete is a story. Behind every horse is a relationship. Behind every successful business is tremendous work. Blanchard’s experience lets her ask questions from the perspective of someone who understands the lifestyle, rather than simply observing it from the outside.

Because she lives the lifestyle herself as an active competitor and coach, Blanchard brings an insider’s credibility to her interviews. She understands the nuance, the terminology, and the daily reality of horse training and competition. This perspective allows her to ask meaningful questions that uncover the genuine human stories behind top athletes, creators, and Western business leaders. That authenticity is an important part of what makes her media work so engaging. She knows that every person she interviews has a unique story worth telling.

The Rio Round-Up Experience & The Ride Fearless Show

Those storytelling skills will be central to her role at Stetson Country Christmas. Held during one of the busiest weeks of the year in Las Vegas, the marketplace at Rio Las Vegas brings together hundreds of vendors offering Western apparel, custom boots, hats, handmade jewelry, home décor, and holiday gifts.

Every day during the NFR, visitors can step into the Brasilia Room at Stetson Country Christmas for the Ride Fearless Show. The live show gives shoppers a break from the vendor floor and a front-row seat to unfiltered, conversational interviews with Western celebrities, Hall of Fame singers, top NFR contenders, and legendary coaches. Stetson Country Christmas runs December 3-13, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.

Rather than standard post-run interviews, the Ride Fearless Show dives into what it actually takes to win and survive in the Western world. Viewers get:

Behind-the-Scenes NFR Insights: Unfiltered breakdowns of mental preparation, horse gear, and real-time strategy from athletes actively competing in the alleyway.

Pro Horseman & Rider Hacks: Practical training tips, riding advice, and mindset strategies you can take home and apply to your own arena or life.

Unscripted Stories & Music: Personal, campfire-style stories and acoustic moments with Hall of Fame artists and Western icons.

As host, Blanchard uses her insider perspective as an active competitor and coach to ask the real questions riders and fans want answered, making every live episode equal parts entertainment, masterclass, and inspiration. Her role as a host is about more than introducing an event or speaking to a crowd. It is about creating connections, highlighting the people and businesses involved, and helping visitors feel like they are part of the larger Western community.

A Western Gathering Place for Everyone

During the holiday season, Rio Las Vegas becomes a hub for Western fans through the Rio Round-Up experience. The property brings together multiple elements of the Western lifestyle, creating an environment where visitors can shop, enjoy live entertainment, meet personalities, and spend time surrounded by fellow Western enthusiasts.

Beyond the market floor, Rio Round-Up has established itself as an all-inclusive, family-friendly destination for Western fans of all ages. Whether you are hunting for unique holiday gifts, taking in live interviews with industry legends, or relaxing with family after a long day in Las Vegas, the venue offers something for everyone.

A Historic Rise: Voted #2 in Just Two Years Perhaps the most incredible part of the Rio’s story is how quickly it captured the hearts of rodeo fans. In the official Las Vegas Events (LVE) post-event voting, the gold standard for fan feedback, the Rio Round-Up was voted the #2 Viewing Party in all of Las Vegas. What makes this achievement truly legendary? This was only the Rio’s second year hosting the event. To climb to the #2 spot against legacy venues that have hosted parties for decades is a testament to the community, the energy, and the grit of the Rio team. It isn’t just a viewing party anymore; it’s an NFR powerhouse.

When the rodeo action kicks off, fans don’t have to miss a single second. Rio Las Vegas features 4 massive LED walls airing the NFR live every night, surrounded by dynamic watch parties, interactive games, and live musical entertainment directly following the broadcasts. It is a complete Western atmosphere where families, fans, and competitors can gather, shop, celebrate, and watch the best in the world compete.

For those traveling to Las Vegas during the holiday season, Rio Las Vegas offers more than just an event. Visitors can make a full day of their time at Rio, exploring Stetson Country Christmas, enjoying entertainment, and taking in the Western atmosphere before continuing their evening with friends and family.

A Career That Continues to Evolve

Blanchard’s career shows what can happen when someone refuses to define themselves by a single chapter. She could have simply been remembered as a successful barrel racer, but instead she has continued building, creating, and finding new ways to contribute to the Western industry. Her career proves that an athlete’s impact extends far beyond competitive results alone. By combining active competition and coaching with entrepreneurship and media, she has created a multi-faceted platform that continues to serve the Western community.

That work is especially important as the Western lifestyle continues to reach new audiences. The people discovering rodeo, horses, and Western culture today may not have grown up in the same environment as previous generations, but stories and authentic voices can provide a bridge between tradition and the future. Blanchard is helping build that bridge by using her own experiences to create conversations that feel genuine, informative, and relatable.

As she takes the stage in the Brasilia Room at Rio Las Vegas this December, Blanchard represents the modern evolution of the Western professional: rooted in tradition, driven by hard work, and focused on helping others ride forward with confidence.

Her competitive career gave her credibility and experience. Ride Fearless gave her a business platform. Her YouTube channel and media work gave her a voice. Her hosting opportunities have given her another way to connect directly with the Western community. Each piece of her career connects to the others.

The competitor understands the athlete. The entrepreneur understands the business owner. The media personality understands the importance of a good story. The host understands how to bring people together. And the horsewoman understands the foundation of the lifestyle that connects them all. That combination makes Blanchard a natural fit for Stetson Country Christmas.

A Winning Partnership to Close Out the Year

Behind every great Western tradition is a dedicated team making it possible. Stetson Country Christmas continues to set the standard for premier holiday events in Las Vegas, anchored by Karmen Inc. (Roper, Stetson and Tin Haul) as the event’s leading vendor. Partnering alongside Group W Productions, their shared commitment and vision ensure a seamless, high-energy experience for vendors, entertainers, and visitors alike. This December promises an unforgettable celebration of the Western lifestyle.

About the Author:

Biography:

I grew up in Reno, Nevada which often gets confused as a mini Las Vegas. But Reno has so much more than casinos. I grew up branding cattle, hunting with my dad, camping, playing sports, exploring the hills and so on. I found my love for writing early in life and I always had a journal I was filling up. I also found myself diving head first into photography which led me to volunteer for the rodeo I went to every year since birth, the Reno Rodeo. I now write in the Reno Rodeo Magazine and take photos of the rodeo for another committee. My love for country goes back to the early days with my dad floating on a boat fishing listening to old country (90’s or older) and some classic rock n’ roll. I have expanded my passions of writing and photography worldwide, having traveled to the Safaris in Africa, crumbling castles in Scotland, pubs in Germany to the snowy mountain tops of the Swiss Alps; like Ian Munsick, “I see country everywhere.” You can find me now taking pictures of sports or driving around taking pictures of yet another cow. They are too cute not to. It’s guaranteed to find me living my best life. Life is short, so live vibrantly!
