Rodeo News

The future of rodeo takes center stage this summer as the International Finals Youth Rodeo (IFYR) returns to Shawnee, Oklahoma, bringing together some of the most talented young cowboys and cowgirls from across the United States and around the world. Known as the world’s richest youth rodeo, the IFYR has become one of the most prestigious events in Western sports and a launching pad for the next generation of rodeo champions.

For more than three decades, the IFYR has welcomed elite youth competitors to the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center, where dreams are realized, champions are crowned, and lifelong rodeo memories are made. What began as an opportunity for young athletes to compete at a high level has evolved into one of the premier youth rodeo events in the world.

More Than 30 Years of Rodeo Excellence

Now entering its 34th year, the International Finals Youth Rodeo continues to set the standard for youth rodeo competition. Each year, nearly 1,000 contestants representing more than 35 states and multiple countries travel to Shawnee to compete for championship titles, prestigious awards, and substantial prize money.

The event has earned a reputation as one of the most respected youth rodeos anywhere in the world. Many former IFYR contestants have gone on to become professional rodeo athletes, National Finals Rodeo qualifiers, and champions in their respective disciplines. For today’s competitors, the IFYR represents an opportunity to test their skills against the best young talent in the sport.
