Fort Worth, Texas – We’re about a month away from the 36th annual Cinch National Finals of Team Roping – one of the most prestigious events in the world of team roping. With last year paying out nearly $3.3 million in cash plus an additional quarter million in prizes to nearly 5500 teams from all over the United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America, it’s a must-attend for competitors and spectators alike! Taking place April 20-27, 2025, at Will Rogers Memorial Center in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas, this year’s event promises no shortage of action and excitement.

“We are so fortunate to have so many talented people who contribute to the success of this event. Yes, this finals was an awesome experience, from the production to the great trade show. But we wouldn’t be here without all of the USTRC producers who put on the qualifying ropings all over the country. Those producers and their local team ropers are the backbone of this association, and we couldn’t do it without them.”
-Johnny Johnson, President of the USTRC, said of last year’s success.

To Compete
In order to compete, you must have an active USTRC or WSTR membership, and you must have attended at least one USTRC event or WSTR qualifier within the last year. NRS will also be hosting last-minute qualifiers April 18-20 if you still need to secure your spot, or are simply just wanting some good warm-up runs before the finals.

Efficiency
Each year, the production team has gotten more and more efficient, something that Event Manager Jett Sharp is incredibly proud of.
“We’ve clocked it. If you catch your first one in the John Justin, coil up and ride into the outside Pavilion, catch that one, then rope your third one in the Will Rogers Coliseum, it takes a tick over twelve minutes. It’s fast, fun, and as a roper, you get to ride your adrenaline rush all the way through and not sit and wait for hours to run the next steer.”
-Sharp
