2013 WestWorld Showdown: Championship Bull Riding in Scottsdale AZ

Championship Bull Riding, Scottsdale Charros and Ak-Chin teamed up for an unforgettable bull riding event for the 2013 Scottsdale Showdown in Scottsdale, AZ

The Championship Bull Riding (CBR) teamed up with the Scottsdale Charros and made its way to the 2013 Scottsdale Showdown last Saturday, October 19th to bring Scottsdale a one-of-a-kind invitational tournament with 20 bull riders on 20 of the fiercest bulls. The sport of bull riding is by far one of the most dangerous sports in the world. The 2013 CBR season has been a very exciting one and the Scottsdale Showdown was a great display of bull riding and an excellent event all-around.

Championship Bull Riding is better known as CBR and is the home of β€œThe Real Cowboy Sport” led by bull riding legend, Tuff Hedeman. The 2013 Scottsdale Showdown was presented by the Ak-Chin Indian Community. As a matter of fact, anytime CBR teams up with Ak-Chin, you can expect an extremely special event. The Ak-Chin Indian Community of the Maricopa Indian Reservation owns and operates Harrah’s Phoenix Ak-Chin Casino in Arizona.

β€œWithin the Community not only do we strive to maintain our cultural heritage and past, but we support and help develop the community around us.”

The Scottsdale Charros has worked hard to promote special events in the city of Scottsdale since 1961 through charitable contribution, as the Charros are an all-volunteer group of business and civic leaders. They strive to give back to the community through support and funding for local charities, economic development, educational scholarships, grants, and youth programs.

After a prayer to the big man upstairs, it was lights-camera-action for the bull riders. From the pyrotechnic display before the first adrenaline-packed ride out of the bucking shoots, to the final buzzer and the 90.5 points that Chandler Bownds received after he rode Cude Bucking Bulls’ Me Too to win the 2013 Scottsdale Showdown, this is an event you will want to be sure to attend next year. However, if you missed the action, the event was televised and it will be broadcasted nationally on Fox Sports Network (FSN) in the beginning of November.

Following the Chute Out, the crowd migrated over to the Bud Light Bullpen Concert, which was located at the β€œBig Tent” at WestWorld. The setup of the Bud Light Bullpen Concert was out of this world and the bad lineups made it even more flawless. The Bud Light Bullpen Concert featured some big names from country music national recording artists, such as, Jerrod Niemann, Maggie Rose, and last but not least, Montgomery Gentry.

Click on, hang on, and keep tuning in to CLN for all your CBR action, because it’s going to be a wild ride!
