Cowboy Lifestyle Network presents the 2015 PBR Touring Pro Division Event Calendar and Coverage. The PBR stands for the Professional Bull Riders.

Billed as the toughest sport on dirt, the Professional Bull Riders BFTS (Built Ford Tough Series) has lived up to its reputation for bringing rough-and-ready action to the arena for over two decades. Now in its 22nd year, the bull riding series holds 27 events in venues ranging from Madison Square Garden in New York City to the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to the World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Some are dual events, like the Iron Cowboy IV held in Arlington Texas at the AT&T Stadium on February 28, 2014. The combination Professional Bull Riders BFTS competition and AMERICAN rodeo offers a total of $2.15 million in prize money and double the action.

The tour begins in January and continues through the year, culminating in the Built Ford Tough World Finals held in Las Vegas October 21-25, 2015. The professional sport of bull riding attracts men and women spectators of all ages because of the incredible excitement of seeing athlete and animal test each other in a way that no other sport can do.

It is a tough, athletic event that challenges the human body as riders match their strength against the desire of the bull to rid his back of the rider. Only the best bulls and the best riders compete in the amazing battles that occur on the arena floor.

When the cowboy nods his head to have the chute gate opened, a tough eight-second bull ride begins. Eight seconds may not sound long, but each ride on a bucking bull is breathtaking action. Some bulls buck as much as six-feet in the air, tossing the bull rider’s body around like a rag doll. The cowboys want the most challenging ride possible because the tougher the fight, the more points earned. The riders and bulls are ranked, and the standings impact the points awarded.

Riders making it to the Built Ford Tough World Finals held in Las Vegas are the crème of the crop in bull riders, having already endured a series of bone-jarring rides at the various events making up the Professional Bull Riders BFTS tour. Competitors in the World Finals compete for millions in prize money, a title and a reputation as the toughest bull rider in the world. The Professional Bull Riders BFTS series is a come-on, come-all event that promises to never disappoint.

PBR-LogoThe best way to explain PBR’s Touring Pro Division is to think of it as the “minor-league” tour of the (PBR) Professional Bull Riders, replacing the Challenger, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and Discovery Tours of the past. Along with previous minor-league tours, it offers up-and-coming bull riders to make a name for themselves. In addition, to the many ] riders not competing on the elite Built Ford Tough Series (PBR BFTS) the opportunity of a lifetime to compete in PBR-sanctioned events while earning money to qualify them for the BFTS and the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada.
