Kia calls its new system D-AWD and the first D stands for Dynamic, according to a Motor Trend review. This system combines a mechanical limited-slip differential with new software and driving modes, altering the power split. Comfort mode delivers 60 percent of the engine power to the rear wheels and Sport mode delivers 80 percent. Drift mode tops out at 100 percent while commanding the transmission to hold gears at the rev limiter, according to the review.
The Stinger also provides 365-hp twin-turbo V6 for โmaximum tire-frying potential,โ says the review. Another option is a rear-wheel drive version Kia Stinger, with 0/100 percent front/rear power split.
The 2020 Singer offers exclusive, eye-catching features including the orange paint and carbon fiber for the grille surround, mirror caps and side vents. The Stinger emblem replaces the Kia insignia on the trunk lid. Standard features include a sunroof, premium audio, and a wireless phone charger to keep the driver connected and entertained.
With just 800 of these vehicles rolling out of production, who will be the lucky ones to drive this fun vehicle? Prices start at $44,995 for the rear-drive version and $47,495 for the D-AWD option.
