Come one, come all! The San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo is back for its 89th year. First held in 1934, the San Angelo Rodeo is one of the most beloved rodeos in Texas. A favorite of Lone Star State cowboys and cowgirls for decades, this event has been a family tradition for generations.Β Known for attracting great crowds as well as many of the world’s best rodeo competitors, the PRCA San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo has gained a reputation for great action and excitement from start to finish. Rodeo Schedule
Because the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo have such a rich tradition, fans can always count on seeing many of the best rodeo events anywhere. The San Angelo Rodeo holds twelve PRCA sanctioned rodeo performances. For this year’s rodeo, fans at each performance can catch one section of Bareback Riding, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Calf Roping, Barrel Racing, and Bull Riding.

Short-Go a.k.a. “Finals”
The Short-Go, also known as the Finals, is the last of the PRCA Rodeo performances. In this performance, the top twelve contestants in the average of each event compete for not only money in the go-round, but purse and title as San Angelo Champion.

Cinch Chute-Out
This is a fast-paced, thrilling rodeo performance featuring eight contestants in the following five events: Bareback Riding, Barrel Racing, Saddle Bronc Riding, Tie-Down Roping, and Bull Riding. In the first go-round, each of the eight contestants goes head to head and the four with the fastest times or best scores advance to the second round. From those four in each event, the one with the fastest time in the second go-round takes home $12,500 in each event! The total purse is $100,000 for the single performance.

Special Events and Charities
Since rodeo fans are some of the most passionate in the world about their sport, their community, and their country, the San Angelo Stock Show and San Angelo Rodeo always contain a number of special events to entertain fans, as well as affiliations with numerous charities that help cure illnesses, support military veterans, and help local community members in need of food and other assistance. Along with these important events, fans of this great event can also look forward to such activities as the plethora of stock shows, RQHA Horse Show, concerts, carnivals, after-party dances, Rodeo Queen contests, and plenty of other activities that will delight Lone Star State rodeo fans of all ages.
Parade
The San Angelo Rodeo Parade is held on the first Saturday of the stock show and rodeo, as a way to officially kick off the event. The Parade Committee works tirelessly to line up parade entries. This parade is one of the largest held annually in San Angelo and is always a favorite of spectators. The parade is held in historic downtown San Angelo and features riding clubs, trail ride participants, antique tractors, wagons, marching bands, and floats.Β The specific parade route will begin at Irving and Concho Street, proceed East to Oakes, turn left on Oakes to Harris, turn left on Harris, proceed to Chadbourne, turn right on Chadbourne and proceed to College Street, turn Left of College Street, continue to Irving, turn left on Irving to Beauregard, turn right on Beauregard proceed to Randolph, turn left on Randolph, proceed to River Drive and dismiss. The parade is televised on both KLST-TV and KSAN-TV!
Buffalo Social Club
The Buffalo Social Club, better known as the “Beer Barn”, is a great place for adults to sit back and have a nice calming drink after being at the fairgrounds and rodeo all day! Between the live music, drink specials, and good times, the Buffalo Social Club has it all! Because the PRCA San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo is such a popular Texas attraction year in and year out, it’s always a good idea to get your tickets as soon as possible. Rodeo tickets will go on saleΒ Monday 03/15/21 at 10:00 a.m. online and at the Foster Communications Coliseum Box Office.
Ticket prices vary in value depending on each performance. Also, tickets are for each seat, so any person or child requiring a seat will be required to have a ticket. The Coliseum box office will open Monday 03/15/21 at 10:00 a.m.
